Not a makeover, just a few considered changes.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Layer the textiles<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Swap one linen cushion for wool, add a throw to the sofa and a rug where floors feel cold.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Light low, light often<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Turn off the ceiling light and use lamps at different heights: a floor lamp by the sofa, a paper lamp on a shelf, candles on the table.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>Autumn rooms are lit in pools, not floods.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bring in a few branches in a stoneware vase.
