Original cloth is the binding the publisher issued. Pictorial cloth carries a printed or gilt design. Half calf has leather on the spine and corners, cloth or paper on the sides. Full leather, often morocco (goatskin), covers the whole book.
A dust jacket is the paper wrapper; on older books it can matter as much as the book itself. Price-clipped means the corner with the printed price has been cut away.
A demo article for the Foliowick theme. The books mentioned are fictional.
